Maria Chiara Mezzadri is Italian, but is currently based in the Netherlands. She has been part of several dance companies such as the GöteborgsOperans DansKompani under the direction of Adolphe Binder, and the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and the Nederlands Dans Theater 2 before that. In such companies, she has been involved in numerous creations and existing works of choreographers such as Saburo Teshigawara, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Frank Chartier/Peeping Tom, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Sharon Eyal, Marie Chouinard, Stijn Celis, Jiri Kylian, Pedro Goucha Gomes, Constanza Macras, amongst numerous others. It is in Göteborg, where Ina created the piece ‘Wasteland’ that she and Chiara have met.
While dancing professionally, Chiara has obtained her bachelor degree in ‘International Studies’ with the British ‘Open University’.
She graduated in dance at the ‘Ballettschule der Wiener Staatsoper’ and received her A-level at the ‘Höhere Internatsschule des Bundes’, both in Vienna, Austria.
She speaks fluently Italian, English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
